Scenography and Design FPB319
In this unit you will develop your skills exploring techniques, materials and media that are employed in Scenography and Design. You will use these skills to investigate how to design performance environments that convey meaning, and offer fresh interpretations of performance texts. You will develop an understanding of visual dramaturgy as integral to contemporary performance practice.

- Describe the history and traditions of Scenography and Design, and the intersections of specializations within the field.
- Analyse how Scenography and Theatre design generates meaning, and a conceptual and embodied experience for performers and audience.
- Creatively iterate a speculative design responsive to a production context or theme.
- Adopt and develop techniques, materials and media to produce a design for a theatrical production.
