To enrol in this unit, students must meet honours/postgraduate course entry requirements (for example completion of a 300 credit point undergraduate degree with a major in a relevant discipline). Written permission from the course and unit coordinator is required to enter this unit for both honours and postgraduate students. The internship process can take some weeks to finalise. Students are therefore advised to consult with the unit coordinator as early as possible before the commencement of semester. The unit is offered subject to staff availability.
Introduction
In this unit students will undertake an internship of no less than ten days with an industry provider to gain workplace experience. They will critically analyse a relevant industry or industry-related problem. To be accepted into this unit students are required to arrange an internship in consultation with the Unit Coordinator by the end of the first week of semester. Students must gain approval of the Course and Unit Coordinators to enroll in this unit.
