Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). Learning Outcomes
- Explain how social workers can speak back to oppressive and exploitative historical, cultural, social, geographic, economic and political contexts and dynamics in decolonising, knowledgeable and principled ways.
- Develop critical social work frameworks for practice that inform transformative actions and strategies in practice, organisational and policy settings.
- Adapt a framework for social work practice as a life-long learning project through ongoing discussions with peers, supervisors and mentors, by keeping up-to-date with scholarly literature, and engaging in professional development activities.

Prerequisites
100 credit points introductory level units and 100 credit points intermediate level units.
Teaching
Teaching Pattern | This unit is delivered wholly online and runs as an intensive unit. The material will be delivered in 2 x 3hr sessions online each week. Learning activities include lectures (2 hours per week), self-directed learning activities using videos and reflective activities (2 hours per week), readings (1 hour); and online group discussion activities (1 hour). Five optional webinars are offered. |
