In this unit, you will explore terms like “fake news”, ‘post-truth world”, social media, “Mainstream media”; topics such as soft power, censorship, propaganda; and the impact of technology – all within the context of Asian Studies.
Visual literacy' is one of the key themes of this unit. You will examine key images from Asia and their impact, construction and possible meanings.
