Introduction
This unit examines major issues concerning contemporary policing practices including such topics as policing diversity, policing public order and dissent, policing illicit drug use, policing domestic violence, and the militarisation of policing. Crime management strategies and forensic practices will also be examined. Case material will be drawn from Australian, British and American practices.
