A unit offered to both attending students and by distance from the same campus is identified as having both modes of study.

TNE Program units special approval requirements.

Teaching

Teaching Pattern

Tuition pattern will follow the pattern of the elective unit selected by the student. Second-class eligible (eligibility finalised as at immediately prior to the start of the final semester) students will enrol in LAH6XX and nominate an elective unit on offer in that semester to provide the framework for the student’s research project. The student may choose any elective unit, conduct the study of the elective unit, and replace the major assessment task in that unit with a 5,000 word research paper on a topic of their choosing within the scope of that elective unit.

Assessment

Students will complete the assessment prescribed in their LAW elective unit of choice, replacing the major assessment in the elective unit with a 5000 word research paper. This assignment will comprise at least 50% of the student’s mark in the elective unit, with the remaining percentage comprised of the unit’s other assessment tasks.
