Property Practice LAS601
Introduction
An interactive case study is used that takes you through the entire conveyancing process. Practice papers for Tasmanian Property transactions are used. The unit focuses on: identifying and transferring title/property and preparing a contract for sale for a vendor; advising on a contract and investigating and transferring title from a purchaser’s perspective; advising on leases; advising on creating and releasing securities; advising on land use; and, advising on revenue issues.

Learning Outcomes
- Prepare, comment on and advise on a contract of sale that is executed according to law and good practice.
- Undertake sufficient searches and inquiries to complete pre-settlement tasks when acting for a purchaser.
- Prepare a settlement agenda and perform the settlement on behalf of the purchaser.
