Clinical Experience LAS607
Introduction
This practice based Practical Legal Training subject reinforces your experiences gained during the approved work placement. The modules include a mix of short videos presented by expert practitioners, interactive activities, and reflection pieces. The learning outcomes (below) for this subject involve advanced knowledge and skills for professional practice. You will : demonstrate advanced skills in legal interviewing, advising, negotiation and dispute resolution; critically analyse a recent judgment handed down in an actual legal disciplinary matter, identify what went wrong and how it could have been prevented; analyse the way in which clients’ (or any consumers of legal services) expectations were identified and managed in an actual legal office or workplace; analyse the way in which legal personnel and processes are used to resolve actual client or consumer problems; and, analyse the way in which legal management processes are employed in an office or workplace that delivers legal services.
