Introduction
This unit focuses on the clinical aspects of the patient through the lifespan, building on the paramedical sciences.
The unit integrates the social context with the clinical assessment and paramedic management of obstetric conditions and emergencies and cardiorespiratory conditions. A study of the pathophysiological basis of disease and pharmacological paramedic management will underpin clinical practice development in the related unit Clinical Practice 5.
