Clinical Redesign Solutions and Implementation CAM510
Introduction
Students completing this unit will acquire advanced problem-solving skills, encompassing the design of targeted clinical redesign solutions to meet identified quality and safety issues, gaps, and system inefficiencies found within health services. The unit draws upon a solid theoretical and empirical basis, and introduces students to a range of best-practice models and tools for use within primary, secondary and tertiary health care contexts. The unit is designed to enhance students’ solution-design and implementation skills within an applied problem-solving environment or in a virtual environment.
The unit follows CAM509 Clinical Redesign Diagnostics and Analysis and is designed to support the second half of a student’s clinical redesign project. Upon completion of these units, students will have applied clinical redesign, project and change management theory and skills to deliver a small clinical redesign project in their workplace.

Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate and apply the skills of clinical redesign to modify, implement a technique, program or strategy for improving care processes and patient outcomes.
- Critically review, analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge for advanced clinical redesign problem-solving in a health care context.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge to generate and evaluate clinical redesign solutions to complex health service and improvement issues.
- Facilitate meaningful discussion and master various methods for the presentation of persuasive ideas to audiences and interest groups towards the resolution of complex health service problems.
