Introduction

This unit develops professional competencies to assess environmental health risks, select and implement management tools, processes and strategies to effectively control health, safety and environmental hazards, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Topics covered in this unit include risk-based inspections, cultural competency, organisational management, ethics, professional communication and professional development. This unit includes a professional experience placement component.
