Note:

CSA434 is available to students within the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours (M4C) and Bachelor of Pharmacy with Applied Honours (54A) programs.

Individual honours students within the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Applied Honours (54A) program will enrol in CSA433 and CSA434 as an overload in Year 4. On successful completion of the 54A and CSA434, students will be eligible to graduate with the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours (54B).

Introduction

In CSA434, the final unit in the honours program, students will complete their research project under the direction of their supervisory team and submit their thesis. Students will also present their research findings to their classmates, other research students and staff.

Teaching Pattern

Students are expected to work approximately 1-2 days per week on their project. Research skills tutorials and academic supervision are provided.

Assessment

Honours thesis (max. 10,000 words excluding initial pages, references and appendices) (85%); final seminar (10 minutes with 5 minutes Q & A) (10%); supervisor assessment (5%).
