Introduction
In this unit, we continue the study of the body systems from CXA204 Bioscience 1, initially focussing on the musculoskeletal, digestive and reproductive systems. Relevant physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and microbiology are introduced and contextualised using pathophysiology scenarios and case studies.
We then focus on complex disease states, integrating and applying knowledge from current research and practice guidelines and all previous Bioscience units.
This unit supports the intermediate and advanced clinical units of the Bachelor of Paramedic Practice.
