Introduction

In this unit there will be a systematic investigation of the anaemias, acute leukaemias, myeloproliferative disorders, lymphoproliferative disorders and other blood dyscrasias, including laboratory identification and investigations of these conditions.

3-hr practical (13 weeks), 2-hr lecture (13 weeks), 1-hr tutorial (13 weeks)

Assessment

In class tests (20%), Practical reports (10%), final 3-hour theory exam (40%), final practical 3-hour exam (30%).

Minimum of 75% attendance at laboratory practical sessions.
