Chronicity, Complexity and Service Delivery CXA722
Introduction
This unit examines issues of chronicity and complexity as the basis for students to examine the operational aspects of service delivery in the management of clinical populations. Students will examine the role of information and technology in practice including: conducting needs analysis, application of apps in therapy, application of telehealth and use of digital health technologies in chronic and complex care.

Learning Outcomes
- Use the clinical reasoning process for clients with complex needs and contexts.
- Critically analyse theories of chronicity and complexity and explain their relationships with models of practice to determine client assessment and intervention plans, or service responses.
- Analyse clinical and professional events, incorporate evidence and consider the risks and benefits of all assessment and intervention methods for modifying practice approaches when working with clients with complex conditions.
- Select, critically analyse and explain the application of current and emerging technologies in service delivery.
- Perform professional practice in a safe and professional manner at entry to practice level.
