Introduction
This unit provides an introduction to how theory and research in psychology can be applied to provide insight into human behaviour in a wide range of settings. Topics covered range from extreme sport to online behaviour, behaviour in organisations and extreme environments, in legal settings and emergencies, achievement and health behaviours. Weekly self-directed practical activities related to the lecture topics introduce students to psychological research and related theory and develop skills in critical thinking and analysis.
