Introduction
This Unit addresses unique challenges in ethical, legal and practice issues that psychologists may encounter in their professional work with specific client groups or workplace settings. It covers the psychological management approaches most likely to be effective for these presentations, groups or settings. Students will be introduced to assessment and psychological management in relation to multi-cultural and indigenous psychology, working with couples and families and preparing for professional practice.
The topics covered in this unit aim to prepare candidates for workplace settings in their final‐year supervised internship in psychological practice, after graduation from the Master Professional Psychology, and prior to moving from provisional to general registration.
