Learning Outcomes
1. Model electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems of varying complexity using differential equations and state-space representations.
2. Determine the transfer functions of interconnected multi-input multi-output linear systems from block diagram representations.
3. Formulate potentially conflicting design specifications in terms of the transient and steady-state performance of scalar and multivariable linear control systems.
4. Design advanced control systems using multiple time and frequency domain criteria and Bode, Nyquist, and Routh Hurwitz stability considerations.
5. Communicate the outcomes of advanced control system design studies.
