Launceston

Note:

30 days industry placement in addition to unit coursework.

Introduction

Work placement is an essential part of our strategy for developing aquaculture, fisheries, coastal management and marine conservation skills and gaining an appreciation of the work environment. It complements the information gained in the course, allows students to experience commercial, government and research environments, to learn additional skills and put into practice student practical and theoretical knowledge. The unit better prepares students for the work force by developing career planning, job application, and interviewee and communication skills during coursework.
