Introduction
This unit builds students’ skills of surveying literature and research communication. It firstly requires students to review and evaluate the literature in logistics and maritime management relevant to their research topic to understand what is already researched and to justify their research questions and methods. Secondly, students are required to expose to up to date research presentations by attending research seminars hosted by AMC and other faculties within the University. Seminars related to their discipline areas should be prioritised. Students are able to develop their research communication skills by engaging with and evaluating those research presentations that will help the presentation of research proposal for their dissertation project.
