Introduction
This unit examines considers the theories, concepts and basic principles of quality management (QM). It will consider quality management systems and their application to all aspects of an organisation and the role of leadership and effective team building in implementing quality improvement initiatives such as Total Quality Management (TQM) and Continuous Improvement (CI). It will also introduce a number of quality planning tools and techniques and consider the role of the quality manager in modern organisations.
