Launceston

Introduction

This unit provides students with the knowledge and skills to understanding the operation, construction, and characteristics of ship's electrical and electronic systems, including the control systems, to enable safe and efficient operation of a commercial vessel and its machinery at an operational level. This includes design specifications, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair, and communication with external stakeholders.

This unit meet the requirements for knowledge, understanding and proficiency set out by the Maritime Training Package TDM50207, the STCW 2010 (Manila Amendments) and Table A-III/1 of the STCW code.
