Introduction
This unit is compulsory for Honours in Earth Sciences students who specialise in Geophysics, and is optional for students specialising in Earth Sciences, Economic Geology or Environmental Geosciences. This unit introduces students to specialist topics in Geophysics, including field techniques, and a choice of either Python programming, GIS or satellite image interpretation. Unit delivery is via two intensive teaching blocks involving a combination of lectures and practical components, one of these teaching blocks is the Geophysics Field Camp excursion where practical field techniques are taught and assessed during a one-week field excursion.

Students may enrol in this unit if they are eligible to enter Honours in the Earth Sciences Discipline (e.g., have an Earth Science major), or with the approval of the Unit Coordinator.
