Introduction

Describes many of the major classes of ore deposits. Deposits covered in previous years include volcanic-hosted massive Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag-Au sulfides, sediment-hosted Pb-Zn-Cu, carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn, Broken Hill-type, Proterozoic Cu-Au, Sn-W, porphyry Cu-Au, orogenic, Witwatersrand and Carlin-type Au, epithermal Au-Ag, Nickel and PGE, IOCG and unconformity U deposits (note: ore deposit types covered may vary from year to year) . Important features of the deposits relevant to both genesis and exploration strategies are discussed for each style. Presenters are Australian and internationally-recognised experts on each deposit type.
