Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus. Teaching Pattern

Semester 3: 6 weeks self-directed full time study (120 hours) with access for help from the Unit Coordinator by email or phone and 2 compulsory laboratory workshop days (14 hours in total)requiring attendance at either the Hobart or Launceston campus.

Semesters 1&2: 2 hr tutorial workshop and either 2.5 hrs practical fortnightly (6 wks) or 2-3 workshop days during semester.

Assessment

Semester 3: Assignments 35%; Laboratory 20%; Exam 45% (4 hr)

Semesters 1 & 2: Test 10% (1 hr); Exam 35% (3 hr); Assignments 30%; Tutorials 5%; Laboratory 20%.
