Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus. A unit offered to both attending students and by distance from the same campus is identified as having both modes of study.

1. Graduates of this unit will be able to: Describe the role of Codex, WTO, WHO and FAO in standards setting, facilitation and harmonisation of trade.
2. Critically evaluate the consequences of globalisation and international trade on national political, economic and social structures.
3. Articulate how the development of seafood products has been influenced by global production and consumption trends.
4. Explain the consequences of breaches of biosecurity in terms of impacts to people, animals, plants and the environment.
5. Appraise the key prerequisites, requirements and impediments to international trade.
