Welcome to the Tasmanian Rural & Regional Training Hub (the Hub).

The Commonwealth Government has established 26 Rural and Regional Training Hubs across Australia to expand medical training opportunities in rural and regional areas.

The Tasmanian Hub is working at all levels of the postgraduate medical training continuum (internship, residency, pre-vocational and vocational training) to provide opportunities for training to be undertaken in rural Tasmania.

As part of a rural workforce program, the ultimate aim of the Hubs is to increase the number of medical specialists in rural and regional Australia – particularly in areas of identified workforce need. Read more…
