You never know when you or a friend might need the help of the Safety and Security team – whether it is because someone had an accident, needs first aid or there is an unexpected emergency.
SafeZone is a safety app which is available FREE for all students and staff, and operates across all University of Tasmania campuses and facilities – all you have to do is press a button and University Safety and Security will be able to assist.
What does it do?
The app allows you to alert University Safety and Security if you ever need urgent assistance, first aid or if you have an emergency while on campus via your mobile phone. If it is activated outside of a University zone it automatically calls 000 (no prompt).
The system is privacy protected, location data is not shared unless you request assistance, or if you use the Check-In function.
