We bring together expertise in research and evaluation, community engagement, student placements, and the development of future researchers - united by a shared commitment to place-based approaches that support sustainable communities and healthier regions.
Leadership
Dr Ha Hoang is serving as Acting Director, with responsibility for CRH’s Launceston-based activities, while Professor Anne Whitworth leads the New Norfolk Rural Health Training Site.
Research and evaluation
Our current research program focuses on rural health workforce development, including tracking graduate pathways and outcomes following rural training experiences and evaluating place-based initiatives. This work generates evidence to support sustainable and locally responsive rural health solutions.
Learning & student placements - New Norfolk rural training site
The New Norfolk rural training site team supports rural learning and placement experiences for students. Working with health services, communities, and education partners, the team helps strengthen rural workforce pathways and supports students to develop the skills, confidence, and connections to practise in rural communities.
Community engagement & partnerships
We work alongside rural communities and partners to support place-based learning, research and service development. While dedicated roles support this work, community engagement is shared across our team and embedded in all our activities.
Operations and support
Our operations and support staff provide the administrative, technical, and project support that enables CRH’s learning, research, community engagement, and partnership activities across Tasmania.
