Why do we do this? Why choose a life of making, shaping, and imagining? Because creative practice is soul work. It asks us to explore our humanity, to question usefulness, and to bring poetry into a world often preoccupied with utility.
Art changes us. It begins quietly and internally, then moves outward, reshaping how we see, how we live, and how we connect with others. Creative practice builds networks, sparks collaboration, and creates spaces where knowledge flows between people. Making is rarely a solitary act; it thrives in community.
For many of us, art school began with a simple love of making, a desire to focus, quiet the noise, and find clarity in process. Over time, it becomes something more: a rare space to dream, to experiment, and to be immersed in an education that values curiosity over certainty.
This journey is not linear. It is full of tension, joy, and discovery. It cultivates sensitivity, an openness to the world that continues long after you leave the studio. It teaches us to imagine futures and to approach them with care.
To the 2025 graduating students: this exhibition marks a threshold, a moment where learning and becoming converge. It celebrates how you have been shaped and your growing power to shape the world in return. Whatever paths you follow, creativity is now part of you. It will inform your choices, your perspectives, and the way you move through the world.
We celebrate your courage to dig deep, to take risks, and to create with honesty. We celebrate the friendships, the collaborations, the community you’ve built, and the momentum you’ve carried together. This exhibition is a marker in time and an invitation for others to experience your depth, diversity, and imagination.
