Introduction

This unit focuses on the theories behind student disengagement and takes a solution focused approach towards re-engagement practices. By the end of this unit, you will have developed a comprehensive understanding of the risk factors that lead to student disengagement, the consequences of disengagement and early school leaving, and the use of data for identification and designing interventions.

In EES202, there are four expectations of your participation:

1. Weekly lecture. You can access the recording of the lecture in MyLO.

2. Weekly 2-hour synchronous tutorials, which you are expected to attend and be prepared to participate.

3. Your are expected to complete the readings and activities associated with each week's content.

4. Submission of assessment tasks.
