Introduction

Effective teaching practice is informed by an understanding of students’ physical, intellectual and social development and how learning occurs. In this unit you will explore the science behind cognitive processing and be introduced to cultural, Indigenous and social theories of learning and motivation. You will consider neurodiversity and the effects of trauma on the brain, learning and behaviours.
