Extending Understanding of Primary English and Literacy unit (EMT526)

Introduction

This unit builds on the theoretical foundations of EMT506 (Foundations of Primary English and Literacy) and will extend your understanding of literacy instruction with a more detailed theory of language context model which supports reading comprehension and writing production. Further to this there is a strong focus on the teaching of reading and viewing of literary texts, where text selection and differentiation takes centre stage.
