Introduction

In this unit you will explore how young people learn the general capabilities of critical and creative thinking, digital literacy, ethical understanding, intercultural understanding, numeracy, and personal and social capability. You will learn about each of the general capabilities and how to integrate them into your teaching area as you plan, teach, and assess student learning. There is an emphasis on explicit teaching of numeracy skills within the context of your teaching area.
