Bush Environments unit (ENV106)

Introduction

In this subject, you develop the skills and knowledge to investigate and analyse bush environments on multi-day overnight journeys. In doing so, you consolidate outdoor experiential journey skills, environmental literacy, sustainable practices, and introductory outdoor leadership, including safety and educative/guiding opportunities. You will further cultivate technical expertise of bush journeys, including practical field trips, to enable safe exploration and promote experiential and interpretative knowledge of bush environments. This includes natural/cultural perspectives, land management, and ecology directly relevant to selected bush environments of Tasmania.
