Introduction

This unit continues the development of ensemble skills in performance and/or music production. In this unit students consolidate the processes of preparation and performance and/or production through participation in one of a varied set of ensembles. Students are expected to engage in the rehearsal process, identifying and detailing chosen rehearsal strategies to improve collaborative performance/production. A focus in this unit is developing individual and collaborative skills to work cohesively in an ensemble.

• Through performance and rehearsal, develop musical ideas to aid in participation in a musically cohesive ensemble
• Contribute and apply relevant information pertaining to repertoire and performance practice in a collaborative setting

• Extend performance/production skills to contribute to final ensemble outcome.

Teaching Pattern	On Campus (Hobart)  Workshops, Tutorials and directed rehearsals (up to 2.5 hrs weekly)  Plus self-directed learning and rehearsal (up to 5 hrs weekly)
