Introduction
It is vital for emerging media practitioners to understand the complex ways that contemporary industries operate on local, regional, national and global scales, and how these industries intersect with audiences, cultures and communities. With a focus on ethical issues including equity, access and sustainability, you will visit local media organisations and have the opportunity to meet with media experts and industry leaders. This unit will encourage you to understand your own positionality as you start to work in – and create – your own media landscapes.
