Location: Hobart

Internships require agreements between the University and the placement agency. Students must obtain the approval of the relevant major coordinator before enrolling in this unit.

Candidates wishing to undertake parliamentary internship should contact Matt Killingsworth by email to register their interest and seek approval.

Introduction

A Parliamentary Internship is available at the Parliament of Tasmania. It involves a part-time placement with a Member of Parliament or a Parliamentary Committee and involves the intern undertaking a practical, research-oriented report. The internship aims to give students experience in practical aspects of political research and policy-making analysis.
