Introduction

This unit builds students’ grasp of disciplinary methods and knowledge through focusing on a text-based special topic. Students will undertake a program of guided reading and discussion led by an academic expert.

• Apply skills in researching and critically analysing scholarship and evidence relating to a text-based special topic
• Apply skills in formulating and communicating arguments according to the conventions of an academic discipline within the Humanities
• Engage in sophisticated oral discussion as a member of an academic discipline within the Humanities
