Introduction
Expanded Practice has been designed to extend your understanding of visual arts practice to delve deeper into agendas, concepts and issues that will enrich your approach to materials and ideas. Such agendas include, but are not limited to, sustainability, environment, ethics, AI, sampling/copyright and identity. You will be guided through studio and writing activities that situate your work within a broader understanding of the contemporary world and how these agendas have been represented and contextualised within art. You will work independently and collaboratively with your peers to acquire creative and critical approaches that will inform the production of your artwork.
The unit is suitable only for those students concurrently undertaking Visual Art (TASC level 3) ART315123 and Art Studio Practice (TASC level 3) ART315214 or equivalent.
