Research Methods and Analysis BAA704

Introduction

This unit supports students completing MBA Research or Workplace Projects to develop and implement a research program. Seminars and practical activities develop an understanding of the philosophical underpinnings of research, the purpose of research methodology and the evaluation of research paradigms. Topics include the specification of hypotheses and other research objectives, different purposes of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, discussion of various sampling frames, the design of interviews and case studies, the design and administration of surveys, ways of organising and interpreting research data, how to conduct ethical research and preparing and writing a research proposal.
