Professional Practices 1A FSA779

Introduction

Professional Practices 1A & 1B aims to facilitate your creative capacity and skills development to enable you to produce professional art or design or curatorial work through the development and realisation of one or more self-directed projects.
Projects are supervised by academic staff and developed within one of the following specialisations: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Time Based Media, Visual Communication and 3D Design.
In this unit you will begin by developing a proposal and work plan and journal to provide a starting point for your self-directed project. You will work from this to commence developing a body of art or design work based on your own line of speculative self-directed research and building on your contextual, theoretical and studio-based investigations undertaken over the course.
