Paramedicine in Clinical Context 3 CAA321
Introduction
This capstone clinical unit focuses on consolidation of the knowledge and skills the student has acquired during the Bachelor of Paramedicine. The student will work in diverse settings, integrating knowledge, clinical reasoning and reflective practice to provide patient-centred and evidence based clinical care, whilst displaying professionalism, leadership and sound clinical judgement. In this unit attendance and active engagement is important in gaining the required level of understanding and clinically safe practice.

Learning Outcomes
- Apply appropriate communication and interpersonal skills in complex situations to interact with the patient, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Employ clinical reasoning, practical skills and reflective practice to provide effective patient assessment and inform clinical management plans for differing patient presentations.
- Integrate comprehensive knowledge of current evidence-based practice and reflective practice to discuss patient management principles.
- Operate in a professional and ethical manner in a healthcare setting demonstrating insight into your own professional practice, in conjunction with your Bachelor of Paramedicine skills matrix comprehensive level.
