Introduction
This unit considers the practical issues relevant to the experience of clinical psychology practice. Lectures will outline key theoretical models and evidence-based treatments for specific adult psychological disorders. Classroom discussion and exercises will provide an opportunity to develop key cognitive behavioural therapy skills. Where appropriate, lectures will be supplemented with audio-visual material and handouts, and students should be prepared to role-play elements of the key therapy skills when discussed.
