Ethics and Professional Psychology Practice 3 PSY714

Introduction

This unit will extend students’ understanding of, and skill in navigating complex ethical and professional practice issues in clinical psychology. This will involve facilitating student engagement in professional development and supervision processes.

The unit will incorporate a range of formats including direct instruction, case discussions and peer feedback to explore complex ethical and professional practice issues.

Discussion of professional practice and ethical issues will be linked to clinical psychology theory, as well as relevant ethical codes, guidelines, and standards.

Students will extend their application of self-reflective/self-practice skills of their competencies to identify goals and strategies for enhancing their practice in clinical psychology.
