Introduction

This unit will progress from foundational principles taught in CAA100 in evidence-based practice with a focus on patient assessment. You will also be introduced to ALS practice and the skills that will inform person-centred care. You will explore the unique and diverse environment in which paramedics operate as well as the leadership/followership principles which optimise safety and patient outcomes. Your attendance and active engagement in this unit are vital in gaining the required level of understanding and clinical practice.
