Clinical Paramedicine 2 unit (CAA221)

Introduction

This unit will build on the clinical skills learnt in CAA111 Clinical Paramedicine 1, delving deeper and more broadly into the topic of clinical paramedicine including information gathering, clinical assessment, diagnostic evaluations, and the management of medical cases. In this unit students continue to learn about ethical health care, professional communication, safe practice and the mindful, patient-centred application of clinical skills. The uniquely, diverse environment in which paramedics operate will be explored, as will cultural sensitivities, followership and leadership. Attendance and active engagement are important in gaining the required level of understanding and clinical practice.
