Health and Social Care in Dementia 2 unit (CAD601)

Introduction

In this unit you will engage with the primary research literature dealing with factors influencing the health and wellbeing of people living with dementia, and their carers. Community strategies and social programmes focused on supporting healthy autonomous life for people with dementia will be examined in the context of personal experience and social outcomes, building a knowledge base aimed at evaluation of evidence from the primary research literature. You will be assessed in the form of a live oral presentation and a written MyContext assignment requiring you to directly relate the course material to your individual professional and/or personal context.
