Healthcare Redesign Diagnostics and Analysis unit (CAM509)

Introduction

On completing this unit you will acquire advanced problem-solving and analytical skills for the ‘diagnosis’ of service delivery blockages, quality and safety issues, and system inefficiencies. The unit draws upon a solid theoretical and empirical basis and will introduce you to a range of best practice healthcare redesign models and tools for use within primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare contexts. This unit is a prerequisite for CAM510 Healthcare Redesign Solutions and Implementation. You are expected to undertake a small workplace-based, or simulated, healthcare redesign project as part of CAM509 and CAM510, with assessments tied to key project milestones. This (work integrated) learning approach will provide you with the opportunity to improve patient care using evidence-based strategies while working towards an academic qualification.
