Introduction

This unit explores the nature and practice of change in the rapidly changing and increasingly complex health and human service environment. You are encouraged to extend your change leadership acumen through the exploration and critical analysis of change leadership frameworks, drivers for change, consequences of change, resistance to change, change readiness, and leading organizations through change.

You will develop practical capabilities in planning, implementing and evaluating change initiatives in the health and human service sector.

• Critically evaluate the leadership implications of change initiatives in health and human services and communicate this effectively in a specific context.
